Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data collected through this GolfHoppers website — currently a waitlist for our upcoming app. It is written to comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the revised Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP).
Who we are
The controller responsible for your data is Golfhoppers GmbH, Poststrasse 15, 6300 Zug, Switzerland. For any privacy matter you can reach us at userdata@golfhoppers.com.
What we collect
- The email address you submit to join the waitlist.
- Limited, cookieless usage statistics collected by Vercel Analytics (such as page views and approximate region) that do not identify you personally.
Why we use it and our legal basis
We use your email address solely to manage the waitlist and to send you launch and preview updates about GolfHoppers. Our legal basis is your consent, which you give through a double opt-in: after you sign up we email you a confirmation link, and we only add you to the active waitlist once you click it. You can withdraw this consent at any time (see “Your rights”).
Who processes your data
We rely on the following service providers (processors) to operate this site:
- Supabase — hosts the database that stores your waitlist entry.
- Resend — delivers the confirmation and update emails.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides cookieless analytics.
These providers process your data in Switzerland and the European Union (Germany), both of which are recognised as providing an adequate level of data protection. Should a provider ever process data in another country, the transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until the product launches and we have contacted you, or until you withdraw your consent or request deletion — whichever comes first. Cookieless analytics are retained only in aggregate.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and nFADP you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data corrected;
- have your data erased;
- restrict or object to processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting prior processing;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), or your local authority in the EU/EEA.
To exercise any of these rights, email userdata@golfhoppers.com. To stop receiving emails you can also use the unsubscribe link in any message we send.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Vercel Analytics runs in a cookieless mode and does not build a profile of you across sites.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the date below.
